Yosemite by Day & Night, 2017
Three days and nights of sunlight and moon glow photography in Yosemite in early June 2017 (from mid-morning Tuesday the 6th until 11AM Friday the 9th) meant very little sleep, but lots of rewarding opportunities. Snowfall this past season was nearly DOUBLE the average. Falls were raging and the Merced River ignored it banks and went wherever it wanted. The clouds turned out so good Friday morning I shudder to think that I was packed up and leaving the rainy park for good when I saw one last photo op and decided to pursue it. Then patches of blue sky appeared. What followed was some of the best landscape scenes I have ever had the privilege of photographing, especially given the setting. More photos than I normally put in a gallery, but this trip had a lot to offer. Check out photo #100, a high resolution slice of El Capitan that shows individual climbers. The gallery ends with some assistance in finding those brave souls on the massive rock. Don't miss the last 2 images and their captions. Enjoy!
