General George S. Patton's grave at the American Military cemetery in Luxembourg. He was totally fearless in battle, yet ironically he was killed in a car wreck in peacetime. Six months after the war ended his personal escort vehicle collided head-on with a transport truck during a hunting trip in Germany. In the days of no seat belts he was thrown forward, breaking his neck. His wife felt he would have wanted to be buried with his men.
